Who is IT?
IT Design Studio is founded by Terry Naranjo, RLA, ASLA. Kimberly Naranjo contributes to the firm with her expertise in graphic design, mixed media art, and Photography.
Mr. Naranjo is a Registered Landscape Architect with nearly 15 years experience with a wide variety of project types.
Professional Registrations include the States of North Carolina, Tennessee and Michigan.
Terry received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University, 1993. Kimberly has a distinguished Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee, 1996.
Terry and Kimberly have two children Ellis, 6 and Lia, 3, a golden retriever, Max, and are members of the Summit Church in Durham, NC

Collaboration
Through collaboration with architects, artists, and engineers and others, IT Design Studio seeks to blur the line between inside and out. This holistic approach combines the essence of the architectural materials with the landscape.

The core of IT's identity is the unique combination and balance of skills put into practice that combines the elements of art and science that comprise landscape architecture.
IT's Philosophy
For IT Design Studio, the practice of landscape architecture involves spatial design that bridges the technical and functional requirements of a site with the sensory, emotional, and spiritual connections users experience as they interact with the site. The unique properties inherent of each site – IT's natural elements, IT's physical forms, and IT's cultural heritage – inform and inspire our work. The manipulation and exploration of forms, spaces and materials creates distinct landscapes with strong conceptual and theoretical foundations.
